Hilton Kyoto

This little bit of paradise was absolutely perfect! It was in such a nice location that we did not allow time for but when we go back we will definitely schedule a day to explore the area. Kamo River is so close and I didn't even know it! The staff were so helpful even when my room was not quite yet ready (the lobby was packed). I waited on a very comfy bench that faced the huge windows and the lovely front desk staff came to me (like less than 10 minutes later) to tell me my room was ready. I have never had that experience in America. Anyway, the lobby is immaculate, so welcoming, beautifully designed with blonde wood, slats for days (sorry if that's not what they're called) and just a beautiful aesthetic all around. It's a very modern hotel with touches of Japanese aesthetic beauty. The guest room itself was absolutely beautiful. It felt so nice, clean and the design of the water closet and showering area were just *boom* mind blowing. I loved it all. We reserved this hotel after we were not too impressed with the apartment we had reserved. We just cut our losses and stayed somewhere that just felt 100 times better. I LOVED this place so much, I told my husband that this was our wedding anniversary home base for the next however many years we come back to Japan. I hope for the next 50 years...okay, maybe 30. We're no spring chickens. Even if you stay here one night, try it out. It is really a luxury feel for the senses. And the beds were soooo comfortable!

The breakfast selection was great The pool facilities were nice, especially the clothes spin drying machine for your costume or wet items The rooms are spacious, generous Comfortable beds Lobby & staff make you feel very welcome We travelled with two kids (4 & 3 years old) and felt very welcome The location is very central to most tourist locations and we found the nearest train station to be a perfect branch to get to all destinations

This hotel knows why we come to Kyoto and designed the room accordingly. It looks stunning. Fortunately it's also comfy, quiet, luxurious and in the perfect location to explore the restaurant alley. Note that at the moment the view towards the river is a view of a high rise construction site.

Modern, spacious, handy location, very well equipped rooms with electric blinds, great staff in downstairs buffet restaurants and club lounge. Rooms had good storage, good uSB connectors and a separate bathroom plus a great toilet with a sink. Great housekeeping and all staff work hard and are very friendly. Handy for imperial Palace etc

The pool. Everything was brand new and high quality. The location. Being able to run/jog by the river.
